Interfaith Teaching in Action - Women in the Bible Series  

 

After a successful presentation at a Women in Ministry conference, Rabbi Goldsmith and First United Methodist Church's Reverend Lynn Nesbitt team-taught two sessions of a Women in the Old Testament (Tanakh) Class.

Spring 2011 Food Drive  

                             

 

During the Temple's Spring Food Drive to benefit the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank, we collected 1,307 pounds of food. That translates to 60 pounds of food per Temple family! Wow!

Temple Emanu-El members worked together to produce and sell a record 1,433 delicious corned-beef sandwich bagged lunches for the Temple-Brotherhood's Annual Deli Day!

Neighbor Night - February 18, 2011  

Rabbi Lynne Goldsmith explains the process of reading the Torah to the many guests who attended Neighbor Night 2011.  After the Service, guests enjoyed a delicious Oneg in the Temple Social Hall.

Sisterhood's Annual Art Auction - January 22-23, 2011  

Auctioning off Dali 
Several hundred guests from Temple Emanu-El and the Dothan community attended Sisterhood's Annual Art Auction. Original art and numbered prints were on the auction block. Profits were used to benefit various charitable organizations in Dothan and the Temple.
